Tuesday July 16th – We’re Here

Who will go? Send me!

We sleep soundly for the first time in a couple of days because we realize we are where we are supposed to be. We had breakfast, relaxed, and read. In the afternoon, we walked the short distance to the main street closest to our guest house.

This was a quick lesson in 3rd world markets. Hanging meats, open air cooking, and sewers that run long the streets. The people were super friendly and the kids were full of smiles. Next to the guest house was a partially finished brick home. It was the residence of a mother and 2 small babies at the moment. We gave them some suckers and took some photos.

The rest of the crew, minus 2 still in Amsterdam, arrived in the evening. Travel weary but thankful to be in Uganda. We shared a meal and all turned in. Big days ahead.
